U.S. Senate introduces New Internet Casino Legalization Bill

New Bill has a Higher Profile in the Senate and Different from a Similar Online Gambling Bill by Barney Frank.

Robert Menendez, the New Jersey Democrat, has introduced a new piece of legislation in the U.S. Senate to regulate and legalize Internet casino.

The bill aims to enable the amendment of title 31 of the United States Code to enable the licensing of Internet casino as well as other games of a predominant skill to protect consumers on the Internet, enforce the tax code and any other purpose that might be deemed fit by the Secretary of the Treasury.

The bill might establish a novel legal framework of regulations for Internet casino within the United States, while putting in place consumer protections and restrictions such as age. The introduced Bill is known as the Internet Casino and Games of Skill Regulation, S.8309, Consumer Protection and Enforcement Act.
