Raptors Set For Busy Run

Toronto Raptors are preparing for three games in the space of four days beginning with a home tie against Sacramento Kings on Friday evening at the Air Canada Centre.

They have had the benefit of a few days rest and will be hoping to keep up their good form as they have won four of their last five matches.

DeMar DeRozan has been leading the attack for the Canadian side. He recorded 32 points against Golden State in his side’s 104-98 victory. From the field he was 10-16 on shooting and made 11 of his 12 free-throws in that game.

The Sacramento fixture is the third consecutive home tie for the Raptors. On February 27, they lost to Washington in front of their home crowd after going down 134-129 in a tight tussle, before their win over Golden State.

Toronto, currently one of the favourites for the post-season with bet365, currently sit top of the Atlantic Division with a 33-26 record for their campaign. That puts them third overall in the Eastern Conference behind Indiana and Miami ahead of the closing stages of the regular season.

Sacramento go into this fixture looking for their third consecutive success. On Sunday they ended a three game losing sequence with a 96-89 victory over New Orleans Pelicans. Then last evening, they beat Milwaukee Bucks 116-102 on the road. Isaiah Thomas top scored for the visitors with 25 points, Rudy Gray helped himself to 22 points, while DeMarcus Cousins contributed with a tally of 21.

The Kings are fourth in the Pacific Division with a record of 22-39. They are though, 5-5 from their last 10 games, according to the bet365 website.

After their trip to Canada, they have meetings against Brooklyn Nets, Detroit Pistons, Philadelphia Sixers, Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves before they return to the Sleep Train Arena.
